Optimal Designs in Random Intercept Model with Heteroscedastic Errors

Abstract
This paper considers optimal designs based on the D-, G-, A-, I- and Ds-optimality criteria for a random intercept model with heteroscedastic errors. It is shown that the search of optimal approximate designs can be conned at extreme settings of the design region if heteroscedastic structure satises specied conditions. Closed expressions for the optimal proportions are given.
